The series "Deal or No Deal" continues with another sermon titled "Dealing with Success." We will look into the story of Hezekiah and how his success brings about his downfall. This week Pastor Joy explains to us how we should handle success in our lives so that we can honor God.It is so easy to receive the blessings of God and make them all about us. God blesses us, miraculously, with life, with prosperity, with family, with salvation from sin, and more, yet sometimes all we think about is our own comfort, our own needs, our own glory. We credit the success we earn because of our hard work, and we are the ones that make it happen. It may not look like it, but your prosperity is a test. We must remember that all are coming from God, His grace led you to where you are right now. For that reason, we should stay humble, stay dependent on Him, and glorify His name in every blessing, every answered prayer and every success we have. In our world that often celebrates self-promotion and individual achievement, choosing the path to be humble can be hard. But as Hezekiah’s story reminds us, it’s the surest way to true success, lasting impact, and a way that honors God.
