SHOW NOTES

(00:06:38 ) Photos from 2025’s Bridlington Comic Con can be found on our Tumblr page here and here and here.

(00:09:20 ) Our own Rev’s interview with Nigel Plaskett and Hartley Hare at Bridlington can be seen on Youtube here.

(00:11:20 ) “Knights of God” was a British science fiction childen’s TV serial, produced by TVS and first broadcast on ITV in 1987. It was written by Richard Cooper. Set in the year 2020, it showed a Britain ruled by the Knights of God, a fascist and anti-Christian religious order that came to power during a brutal civil war twenty years previously. The full series, admittedly of dodgy quality, can be found on Youtube here.

(00:14:22 ) Nigel Plaskett’s appearance in the 1970s Vicks Sinex nasal spray commercial can be seen here.

(00:20:30 ) Allan and Erica’s “Tony Slattery Rambling Club Podcast” with Paul Carmichael carries on the legacy of their friend, the magnificent Tony Slattery! Each episode, they dive into delightful discussions, often accompanied by a special guest, as they navigate the quirky wonders of the Dewey Decimal System—guided by their magical (and rather tatty) bingo machine, voiced by the legendary Stephen Fry! You can become a member of the Rambling Club and obtain your signed membership card, club badges, access to episodes a month in advance, exclusive episodes you won’t hear anywhere else, monthly AMA’s and much more by heading over to www.patreon.com/slatterylive.

(00:21:22 ) The vampire Lalla Ward cover from issue 17 of “House of Hammer” can be seen on our Tumblr page here.

(00:28:31 ) The papier maché Dalek tableau which Mark presented to the Whoseum in podcast #60 can be seen on our Tumblr page here.

(00:30:55 ) Emily and Justin’s bespoke papier maché “Total Pap” website can be found here.

(01:11:55 ) ABBA’s “Take a Chance on Me” music video whose winking so profoundly disturbed our Mark can be seen here.
