As we did last year, we've just completed a DJ competition for one young DJ to open our room at Code!

The winning mix was by a young man who goes by the DJ name "Slüge", pronounced slug. His real name is Dylan Leicester!

“Hey, my name is Dylan Leicester, I’m 21 years old and I’m originally from the Central Coast, north of Sydney, but I’m now based in Sydney. Some of my favourite favourite artists and labels include: Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Cajual Records, Local Talk Records, Kolour Recordings and Hot Creations. I first thought about being a DJ when my roommate entered a competition himself, and then bought a set of decks and showed me a few things he had learnt. This made me determined to be able to put together a mix of my favourite songs. I’ve been dj-ing for about a year now and have since played a couple of gigs at around Sydney such as The Burdekin Hotel, World Bar and Kit & Kaboodle.
