Daily Zohar 4978

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -4978

Zohar Noach

Continued from previous DZ

#169

“לַה’ הָאָרֶץ וּמְלֹאָהּ”, “The earth is YHVH’s and all that fills it” (Psalms 24:1). This verse is said about the Land of Israel, which is the holy land. And “וּמְלֹאָהּ” (all that fills it), this is the Shekhinah. As it is written: כִּי מָלֵא כָבוֹד יְהוָה אֶת בֵּית ה’—”For the glory of YHVH filled the house of YHVH” (1 Kings 8:11 ). And it is written: כִּי מָלֵא” כְבוֹד יְהוָה אֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּן”—”For the glory of YHVH filled the Tabernacle” (Exodus 40:34 ), where ‘filled’ is said about the Shechinah. So too here, וּמְלֹאָהּ is said about the Shechinah. What is the reason it says מָלֵא (full) and not מִלֵּא (filled), that is, it is not said “filled the Tabernacle”, but she is certainly filled, that she was filled from all, that she was filled from the sun. The moon, which is the Shechinah, is complete from all the righteous, filled from all the good above, like this treasure that was filled from all the good of the world. And about this, it is written: “לַה’ הָאָרֶץ וּמְלֹאָהּ”, “The earth is YHVH’s and all that fills it.” And the verse “תֵּבֵל וְיֹשְׁבֵי “בָהּ, “The world and those who dwell in it” (Psalms 24:1), this is said about the other lands outside the Land of Israel.

Notes:

(Exodus 40:34 ). The Land of Israel (Malchut) is filled with the Shechinah, complete from the “sun” (Zeir Anpin’s Mochin), like the Tabernacle filled with glory. Tevel (תֵּבֵל) refers to external lands. This connects to the article’s theme of divine sovereignty, with Shechinah as the vessel for His Glory, reflecting the zivug (union) of Zeir Anpin and Malchut.

Main Point: The Land of Israel (Malchut) is filled with Shechinah, complete from Zeir Anpin’s Mochin, paralleling the glory of the Tabernacle, while Tevel denotes external realms.

#170

Another interpretation of the verse: “לַה’ הָאָרֶץ וּמְלֹאָהּ”, “The earth is YHVH’s and all that fills it” (Psalms 24:1). This refers to the supernal holy land. That the Holy One, blessed be He, desired her, that is, the Nukva, and “all that fills it”, this is the souls of the righteous, with which the Nukva is filled, by means of one pillar, which is the Yesod of Zeir Anpin, upon which the world stands. That is, all that is in the world, which is the Nukva, is received from the Yesod of Zeir Anpin. And therefore, it is considered that the world stands upon it.

Notes:

This Zohar passage interprets (Psalms 24:1), linking to #169 by identifying the “earth” as the supernal holy land (Nukva, Malchut), desired by the Holy One. ‘וּמְלֹאָהּ’ (all that fills it) is the souls of the righteous filling her through Yessod of Zeir Anpin (the pillar sustaining the world). All in Malchut is received from Yessod, reflecting the zivug’s flow of Mochin. This continues the article’s theme of divine sovereignty, with Yessod serving as the foundation of the world.

Main Point: The supernal holy land (Nukva) is filled with righteous souls via Yessod of Zeir Anpin (pillar), sustaining the world, per

#171

And if you say: “The world stands upon one pillar,” come and see what is written: כִּי הוּא עַל יַמִּים יִסָּדָהּ—”For He founded it upon the seas” (Psalms 24:2). “כִּי הוּא” (for He), this surrounds the Holy One, blessed be He, as you say: “הוּא עָשָׂנוּ”, “It is He who made us” (Psalms 100:3). And likewise, it is written: “כִּי הוּא לַקְצוֹת הָאָרֶץ יְבִיט”, “For He looks to the ends of the earth” (Psalms 24:2).*

Notes:

This Zohar passage interprets “כִּי הוּא עַל יַמִּים יִסָּדָהּ” (Psalms 24:2), “הוּא עָשָׂנוּ” (Psalms 100:3), and “כִּי הוּא לַקְצוֹת הָאָרֶץ יְבִיט” (Psalms 24:2), addressing the “one pillar” (Yessod of Zeir Anpin) sustaining the world. ‘For He’ surrounds YHVH, encompassing creation’s foundation on seas, with the Holy One as creator and observer.

Main Point: The world’s foundation on one pillar (Yesod) is encompassed by YHVH (ki hu), who founded it on seas and observes all, per
