Dan Doty // Evryman
In episode twenty-four of The Modern Women, Natalie Drenovac sits down with Dan Doty, founder of Evryman - his organisation which gives men tools and guidance to access repressed areas of emotion and desire.
We keep hearing about toxic masculinity and its negative impacts on men and, as a consequence, women too. Toxic masculinity is often seen as a way to describe the harmful consequences of mens perceived need to conform to some hyper masculine and traditional ideal. A stereotype that rejects any notion of softness or femininity as it is seen as weak. As a result, men, and the people in their lives, suffer.
Dans work with men helps them increase their abilities to connect deeply with others and he is making a real impact on the lives of those men who partake, as well as everyone around them.
I wanted to sit down with Dan to uncover what his work is all about, how it benefits men, women and future generations.
