Day 14 π Beyond the Scheme: Finding True Treasure in God's Truth Today's Readings: Genesis 30:1-31:16, John 7:31-53, Psalm 12:1-8, Proverbs 3:13-15
Description
Welcome, GraceVine family, to another day of sitting at the feet of the Father. Today, we journey through a powerful collection of scriptures that speak to the human struggle of jealousy, deceit, and the pursuit of true treasure. As we dive into these passages, may we find wisdom, be drawn closer to the Living Water, and rest in the flawless promise of Godβs Word.
What Youβll Hear
Genesis: We explore the dramatic and often messy story of Jacob and his family in Genesis 30:1-31:16 , where human rivalry and deceit give way to God's steadfast provision and blessing, even in the midst of turmoil.
John: In John 7:31-53, we witness the division of a crowd and the deep irony of those who think they know God's truth but miss the Living Water right in front of them, culminating in a powerful defence by Nicodemus.
Psalms: David's heartfelt prayer in Psalms 12:1-8 exposes the lonely difficulty of living in a world of deception and flattery, and points to the pure, flawless, and trustworthy Word of the Lord as our only hope.
Proverbs: We are reminded in Proverbs 3:13-15 that the diligent pursuit of wisdom and understanding is the ultimate treasure, far more valuable than silver, gold, or anything else we could ever desire.
