Day 48: Genesis 22:20-24: Trusting God With Our Future (2025) : Daily Bible Study, Daily Devotional

Sometimes, God is already preparing the next step long before we even realize we need it. In Genesis 22:20-24, after the intense moment when Abraham nearly sacrificed Isaac, we get a glimpse of how God was orchestrating the future. We’re introduced to Rebekah, the woman who will one day become Isaac’s wife.

At this point in the story, Abraham doesn’t know anything about her. Isaac certainly doesn’t. But God does. Before they even think about what comes next, He is already at work, putting the right people in place at the right time. This passage is a powerful reminder that while we focus on what’s right in front of us, God is moving ahead of us, setting things in motion for what’s to come. Even when we don’t understand His timing, we can trust that He is preparing the way.
