On Day 8 of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, we're teeing up the beginning of Canada's men's hockey team striving for gold against long odds under the leadership of team captain Eric Staal.

Also, the men's curling competition has begun with Canada playing games against Denmark and Norway to begin the event, and Canada scored two more medals; in men's snowboard cross, and men's alpine skiing combined.
