On Days of our Lives spoilers indicate fan-favorite Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) is set to return to Salem bearing exciting news of her engagement. The NBC soap opera has yet to reveal the identity of her mystery fiancé, leaving audiences in suspense. The upcoming Horton Clinic Gala will serve as the platform for Sami's big announcement. The storyline also reveals that Sami will be meeting her newest grandchild, John Roman DiMera III - called Trey, the offspring of Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens). 

DOOL spoilers reveal Sami's return is not due to the show's demands but stems from Sweeney's successful career in Hallmark movies, which only allows her to make brief appearances in Salem. Her last significant plot on Days of our Lives involved a tumultuous romance with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), who kidnapped her out of fear of losing her to EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). The truth was revealed at the altar, resulting in Lucas's imprisonment and an end to their relationship. 

Spoilers for Days of our Lives are speculating who Sami's mystery fiancé might be, it seems unlikely that it's her ex, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) or EJ DiMera, who remains in love with Belle Black (Martha Madison). The most probable candidate is Lucas Horton, given actor Brian Dattilo's return for November sweeps and the soap's 60th anniversary.
