Many areas of Minnesota saw some decent rainfall late Monday into Tuesday and Tuesday night, but as expected there was a sharp contrast from west to east in the eastern part of Minnesota and western Wisconsin where most areas were largely missed.

We’ll see clouds break up some and decrease through the day Wednesday, allowing for the return of some sunshine in most areas. There will be some stubborn low clouds that hang on to portions of central Minnesota.

The sun will help warm temperatures back into the low to mid-50s for most with pockets of 40s remaining in parts of western Minnesota.

Halloween still looks pretty typical for Minnesota weather with highs in the 40s mostly and a mix of clouds and sun. Temps will be mostly in the 40s for trick-or-treaters across southern Minnesota with upper 30s north.

There could be a couple of sprinkles late Thursday into Friday and Saturday as that pair of clipper systems brings cloud cover back to the region. There won’t be a lot of moisture, however, so just some occasional light spotty sprinkles are expected.

Sunday looks brighter and a bit warmer with many areas seeing highs back in the low to mid-50s. Overall the start of November looks mild with highs in the 50s early next week when normal highs are in the 40s.
