Description
Any Lucía López Belloza, a 19-year-old Babson College student from Massachusetts, was deported to Honduras while attempting to visit her family for Thanksgiving. Despite a court order allowing her to stay in Massachusetts, she was detained at Bostons airport and sent back to Honduras. Her attorney argues she was unaware of the deportation order and had no means to challenge it. ICEs lack of communication made it difficult to locate her during the process. She is now with her grandparents in Honduras and working with Babson College to complete her studies remotely.
