After a hurricane and several medical delays, Party Favorz is back with an early-week drop of our latest installment in the Club Fusion series: "Don't Stop the Music." This collection features the biggest bangers currently making waves!
We kick things off with the fabulous "Finally" by Swedish House Mafia and Alicia Keys. This dream collaboration reimagines the 2001 house classic by Kings of Tomorrow (a.k.a. Sandy Rivera) into a sweeping anthem, showcasing Ms. Keys's incredible vocals. I can’t recall a more unexpected and mesmerizing pairing since David Guetta and Kelly Rowland electrified the dance floor with "When Love Takes Over" back in 2009.
Next up is a brand-new track from Canada’s pop princess turned urban queen, Nelly Furtado. After a seven-year hiatus, her collaboration with Tove Lo and SG Lewis delivers an electro banger that seamlessly bridges her earlier work with Timbaland. The singer is in fantastic vocal form and looks as fabulous as ever, while Don Diablo’s searing progressive remix is sure to captivate club-goers.
Italian DJ Piero Pirupa, who previously reworked the rock classic "Another Brick in the Wall," returns with a hard-hitting remix of Nirvana’s "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Grunge was always ripe for an EDM makeover, and this remix elevates the original to new heights.
Jerome Robins & Karsten Sollors take on Rihanna's classic "Don't Stop the Music," transforming it into a BIG HOUSE tune that’s bound to blow the roof off any venue. Their version does justice to the original while opting out of the MJ "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" chant—frankly, it didn’t need it.
Martin Ikin is riding high with his chopped tribute to Beyoncé's "Crazy For You," titled "Crazy 4 U." Paired with "7 Seconds" by James Hype, these tracks highlight the diversity of styles in this set.
We also feature sweeping anthems like the elegant "Tears" by John Summit and Paige Cavell, alongside Max Styler's progressive track before closing out with his techno smash, "Addiction."
In between all this goodness are some heart-tugging and emotionally uplifting songs you may or may not have heard yet. This shift in the set allows listeners to breathe before transitioning to a harder note. Tracks like "Beautiful & Young" (a Lana Del Rey remake) by Harpoon, "Hold Me" by Freejak, "Wish You Knew" by Carlita, and "My Love 2024" by Alex Wann, Route 94, and Jess Glynne all deserve attention. While some lean towards Afro house, others showcase a more progressive structure, but they all mesh beautifully.
Finally, we have the latest from Chappell Roan. I debated including her new track "Hot To Go!" due to the controversy surrounding her recent comments.
