You are not an individual in a bubble, unaffected by those around you. You have been conditioned to behave a certain way... but it doesn't always serve you. Be intentional so you aren't like Martha, missing out on what's really important.
Jesus spoke to an individual and also to a culture at the same time. The culture he saw he called out- too busy doing what they 'should' to stop for what's really important.
