Dukes womens soccer team suffered a heartbreaking loss in the College Cup semifinals, falling to Stanford 1-0. Despite a strong start with early scoring opportunities, Stanfords Jasmine Aikey scored on a free kick in the tenth minute, giving the Cardinal a lead they wouldnt relinquish. Duke dominated in corner kicks but couldnt find the back of the net, ultimately losing 1-0. Despite the setback, Coach Kieran Hall praised his teams season and expressed confidence in their future, as most players are expected to return for the next season.
