She is a Mental Health Advocate, & trauma survivor. Katie Co-Founded a seed-stage mental wellness company, as well as the Emerging Leaders Network within the New York Women’s Foundation, & served as a Founding Board Member & Strategic Advisor to Vancouver-based Tri Girls Rise. We discuss how there is often more offence surrounding the word ‘rape’ more than the action itself & the damage that rape culture can cause, What is consent & how we can add this to our societies dialogue, How not feeling safe affects our mental health/wellness, & Applying the same dialogue for men as the media/people do for women.
