E21: Do accents matter when speaking another language?

Welcome back to the next season of My EngLYsh version. I feel like I haven't talked about language learning for a very long time, so here I am, giving my 2 cents about one of the most challenging things when it comes to learning languages: Accent.
Is it ok to be obsessed with a standard accent? Are you a loser if you don't sound like those Youtubers or native English speakers?
Most of all, is it worth it to dedicate all your time and energy to a standard native accent?
