Description

The Ansari Podcast: Mahmoud Elansary and Attorney Mohamed Al - Hamdani discuss identity and some of the history of Islam in America, how Islam doesn't let slavery thrive. Islam is deeply anti-slavery. They discuss getting married to non-Muslim women and Al Hamdani's own experience with that. They talk about Islam being as American as apple pie. And how undocumented Americans "illegal immigrants" are the backbone of this country. They talk about Mohamed's own struggle growing up as an Iraqi refugee in America, and how that led him to want to fight for the less powerful.
Mohamed Al-Hamdani is an immigration attorney, Chief Legal Deputy, and  recognized as one of Dayton’s most influential young leaders in the 2016 class of DBJ’s Forty Under 40. Al-Hamdani founded his own law firm, offering legal representation on immigration issues, criminal matters and domestic relations. He began serving on the Dayton Public Schools Board of Education in January 2018. His previous work with the Department of Defense helped develop cultural and linguistic immersion training for more than 3,000 marines prior to their deployment in Iraq.
