EP 4｜这个国家,到底懂不懂什么是抄袭？

这一集有点不一样。平常我们都聊一些轻松的话题，但今天，我们想聊一件让我们心里有点沉的事。

作为建筑设计师和马来西亚人的我们，真的看不下去了。到底设计什么时候才能不能任意踩踏？

Fey，一位勇敢为自己发声的设计师，曾为MITI设计出一个作品，代表马来西亚参加 The Malaysian Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka。他花了三年，倾注心血完成了这个作品，但项目突然改为公开招标，最终的设计却与他的原作几乎一模一样——但是他没有被提及，没有被感谢，甚至连名字都没有留在作品里。

更让人心寒的是，虽然这个设计和著名建筑设计师Kengo Kuma合作过，Fey还提供了Kengo本人的支持信和其他证据，然而MITI却依旧将其列为证据不足。目前这件事件还在调查中。

在这一集里，我们想聊聊“设计”在我们社会中的位置——为什么创意和劳动总是难以得到认同？为何那些背后默默付出的灵感与汗水总被忽视？为什么艺术总是与富裕阶层挂钩，而真正的创意却被践踏？

我们也想借此机会，把Fey的话送给大家：作为设计师，我们从来不是要掌声，而是希望我们的作品不被践踏。

This episode is a bit different. Normally, we talk about light-hearted topics, but today, we want to discuss something that weighs heavily on our hearts.

As architects and Malaysians, we simply can’t stand by and watch. When will design stop being trampled on?

Fey, a designer who bravely spoke up for himself, created a design for MITI to represent Malaysia at The Malaysian Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka. He spent three years pouring his heart into this project, but suddenly, the project was put out to tender. The final design was nearly identical to his original, yet he was not mentioned, thanked, or even credited at all.

What’s even more disheartening is that, although the design was done in collaboration with renowned architect Kengo Kuma, and Fey even provided Kengo’s personal support letter alongside other evidence, MITI still listed it as insufficient evidence. This is still under investigation with MITI.

In this episode, we want to talk about the position of “design” in our society—why is creativity and hard work so often unrecognized? Why are the efforts, inspiration, and sweat that go unnoticed so easily ignored? Why is art always associated with the wealthy, while true creativity gets trampled?
