A Thousand Miles aims to teach Chinese idioms with historical background, fun facts, and engaging stories with culture perspectives for Chinese language learners or anyone who is interested in Chinese culture. The 22nd solar term is Dōngzhì, or the Winter Solstice, one of the most meaningful solar terms of the year. It usually falls on either December 21st, 22nd, or 23rd, marking a major turning point in the calendar.
