Description

In the United States, the 4th of July holiday weekend is usually spent celebrating summer with friends and family, by BBQing and other outdoor activities. However, July 5, 1951 was not a celebration for Betty Jean Hansen and her family. On that day, the deadly obsession that Betty Jean's stepfather, Frank Walter Kristy had with her ended. This is the story of that obsession and of Betty Jean's demise.
