On this episode, we sit down and speak with Eric Lagoy. Eric shares his journey from starting as a guest lecturer at a local DPT curriculum to actually developing the course content for a S&C/ExRx course that the students advocated for. Eric provides valuable information regarding hurdles that he faced during this process. We hope his story will help lower the barrier to getting more of these courses started across the country!

Bio:
Eric received his Doctoral of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Connecticut and became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 2015. He currently treats at Gaylord Physical Therapy Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Cheshire, CT. Eric is also adjunct faculty at Quinnipiac University, where he teaches an exercise-based elective to students in their final year of PT school.

Eric has a strong background in strength and conditioning, having coached athletes and competed in powerlifting himself. He is an official Clinical Athlete provider and works with athletes of all competitive levels. Eric has presented at various universities on the topics of implementing strength and conditioning principles into physical therapy.
