Description
California Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) introduced Senate Bill 252, the Bear Protection Act. This legislation would institute an outright ban on black bear hunting in California. The bill was recently withdrawn after a large public outpouring from many conservation organizations and hunting communities all over the US.
