Today we have a special episode lined up for you! We had the privilege of speaking to Octavian - UK artist and rapper. We discussed the Hero’s journey, his experience being homeless, his charity foundation, his latest album Alpha, walking in Virgil Abloh’s first show for Louis Vuitton and learning from your mistakes. About Octavian: 

Octavian is a well acclaimed artist based in the UK, receiving major approval and co-signs from the likes of Drake, Travis Scott and Virgil Abloh. His music mixes genres from house, grime, altè and trap. 

Octavian born in the UK, moved to France when he was young after transferring to school over there. During his teenage years Octavian had a period of being homeless, within that season of being homeless he was blessed enough to be introduced to the logic music software in one of the homeless shelters. It was during this time where Octavian learnt how to produce music and began to develop his craft. 

In 2017 Octavian released his single, “Party Here” which was a certified club hit. “Party here” landed Octavian a co-sign from Drake. His album 2018 album art cover “Space Man” was designed by Virgil Abloh, which established his place in the UK rap game. 

In 2019 Octavian dropped his mixtape Endorphins featuring the likes of A$AP Ferg, Skepta and Smokepurpp. The mixtape was a sonically shifting project, where Octavian diverted away from placing a focus on drill and grime, but rather opting to introduce a new wave of Indie, rock n roll , trap, house and R&B. 

In May 2022, Octavian released his first independent album - “Alpha.” Which features the likes of Future, Gunna , Skepta and Michael Phantom. This episode is definitely nourishing and insightful, we discuss the struggle of being homeless, Octavian creative process, his latest album “Alpha,” working with Future and Gunna and learning from past relationships.
