Easter 2025 - The Consequences of the Resurrection - Acts 10 & 17
Description
What conclusion should we draw from the resurrection of Jesus?
This week after Easter we explore the clear message proclaimed by the earliest Christian witnesses: Jesus Christ was raised from the dead as proof that he will judge the world.
Drawing on Peter’s words to Cornelius (Acts 10) and Paul’s speech at the Areopagus (Acts 17), we uncover the significance of the resurrection through the lens of Old Testament expectations:
- God’s just judgment
- the promised Davidic King
- and the Son of Man given all authority.
This is not a side-topic for the curious—it is a demand for all people, everywhere, to repent. Because the day has been set. Jesus has been appointed.
His resurrection proves it.
