I was teaching my 8 and 10 year old poker over the school holidays (as you do!) and I really think there are some key life lessons we can take from poker.
The major one is that it's not the hand you're dealt, it's how you play the game. This analogy can be applied to your recruitment desk as well. You might be on a shitty run. With candidates, workflow, market, or interactions.
This ep will help you reframe being dealt a bad hand. Ask yourself:
- What haven't I done?
- What can I go back and do better
- How can I squeeze everything out of this hand?
It's up to you to make the most out of your hand.
