Back with longtime friend of the podcast, Rocky McDowell, CF-L3 and co-owner of CrossFit AMROCK: in this episode we dive into some of the biggest myths that are prevalent in the CrossFit community. Anywhere from mild misconceptions to things that are just flat out not true! We cover eight of them in pretty good detail:



  1. "I need to be in shape to do CrossFit"

  2. "I can’t do those exercises (weights, pull ups, muscle ups, running) so I can’t do CrossFit"

  3. "CrossFitters don't care about form"

  4. "I’m going to get hurt doing CrossFit"

  5. "I don't want to get bulky"

  6. "I don’t want to compete and CrossFit is only about competition"

  7. "I’m not comfortable taking my shirt off to work out, and all CrossFitters take their clothes off to work out"

  8. "I’m too old, young, overweight, skinny, weak, etc to do CrossFit"



Some of these we've touched on in previous episodes, some of these we're going to take a deeper dive into in future episodes, but all really valuable insights if you are open to challenging some of your beliefs.
