Ep 34- The Imperfectionists' Monthly Podcast - Reconciliation

This month we publish a day early to recognize Canada's first ever "Day of Truth and Reconciliation". Sept 30th 2021 is a day meant to be spent reflecting on Canada's Past settler relations with respect to the Indigenous People's of Canada. We put colonialism and settlerism under a microscope today, and with the help of 3 First Nations voices we ponder what it means to honour and Reconcile.

Thanks go especially to these 3 strong Indigenous voices who we hear in this episode:

  • Ta'aiya Blaney Women's Warrior Song- Opening Ceremony of The North American Dialogue On Biocutural Diversity, Redpath Museum(McGill Campus) May 5,2019
  • Honourable Murray Sinclair tas to APTN News Sept 30, 2021
  • Elder Lolly Good - Word Ocean's Day intro with song June 8, 2021
