Description

Michael Moore shares his personal history with both Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, who both starred in 2009's "Capitalism: A Love Story." In very personal terms, he addresses the possible fracture within the progressive movement and why we must move past this in order to ensure the defeat of both Donald Trump and the rotten system that produced Trump.

Michael, I completely understand your feelings about this. I've been in the same boat, took the same path admiring Elizabeth Warren, and dismissing things that didn't seem important in light of what she was doing and had done for this country. I am completely disheartened and angered by her behavior regarding this. Also, how she handled herself after the debate, not shaking Bernie's hand, and saying what she did while she was mic'd. Not the person I thought she was, and wanted her to be. She REALLY f,d up here. so discouraging. I pray we can recover from this.

here i am, to solve the puzzle of warren and bernie's inexplicable tiff: warren's public claim is that bernie originally said that a woman could not get elected president, and bernie is now saying he never said a woman could not get elected. maybe it all makes perfect sense if they were originally talking about a ~particular~ woman {cough...clinton}, and that specific conversation got generalized to "a woman" since then, because neither one wants to admit to that part right now, in the heat of the democratic primaries.

Private schools aren't a good thing. They serve as a way to keep the lower classes docile by being obsessed with getting into a highly-regarded school. They also privatize education and take resources away from public schools.

So you mentioned that you weren't in the room, it was only the two of them, Bernie and Elizabeth. And yet when they both recounted the conversation, your assumption is that he can't possibly be lying. Why is your assumption that she is lying? Is it because men can't acknowledge that they sometimes say things they don't mean? "It was just a dinner." Is it because men patronize women constantly? And you think the whole democratic party is playing into Trumps hand having this dialog? Maybe it's only half the party? The half without vaginas.

That was good Mr Moore. Insightful, thoughtful, and forgiving.

tRump would "eat her lunch" in a general election. People may think It's splitting hairs to bring up all of the "little embellishments" that she has said but many of us are looking for authenticity in a candidate. ALL OF THIS is ammunition that POS 45 won't have against Bernie but he would be able to destroy her with.

Thanks for putting this into perspective, Michael. Like many, I was completely disillusioned. You've helped restore focus + reminded me to keep my eyes on the prize: Remove and Rebuild.

Michael, I can hear how broken hearted and disillusioned you are about this. ((hugs)) Warren's only ever been my back-up and I had been reassured by the way you spoke of her before today. I figured the context of the conversation was left out by the media to villanize Bernie. Now I'm thinking that the bit of faith I had in Warren (I was hoping this was her campaign and that she would straighten things out) was misplaced. Hearing that Bernie encouraged her to run in 2016 only reaffirmed my faith in his values and character.

I am so happy you took the time to make this podcast. I've been upset and confused since the story was leaked from Elizabeth Warren's Campaign. My inclination was to believe Bernie as he seems to so real and "you get what you get". I'm pleased to hear your take on this as you know both candidates. Thank you very much. You've knocked it out of the park again. I feel like your purchase is absolutely something different. You are a leader of people and are really laying out a road map for those of us who care to change our current political and social climate. I just cannot thank you enough. Also, I am with you and thinking of you every day also. I am also thinking of each of your, and my fellow listeners.

Michael, please tone this down. I support Elizabeth Warren and I love your podcast. I love Bernie too. There is surely a huge list of Bernie's exaggerations. Not sure I can listen to this. You are putting too fine a point on your criticisms. Your anti- Warren list of her "crimes" could apply to any and all politicians. Please tone it down.
