Ep. 19 | Thoughts On “Surviving R. Kelly Docu-Series”
Update: 2019-01-11
Description
Lex shares thoughts after the recent release of “Surviving R.Kelly” Documentary Series. There’s an imbalance in the public’s selective outrage. Due to shared stories from celebrities, proclaimed victims as well as former staff members who interacted with R.Kelly. Most of whom either enabled, confessed their participation (due to presumed lack of awareness), as a result felt “manipulated” in allowing R. Kelly’s sexual misconduct towards young black teenage girls to run rampant over the years. America and the rest of the black community of come unilateral conclusion that he is simply a monster. Lex entertains the reasoning of R.Kelly as a monster of the people’s making by not speaking out early on signals from R. Kelly’s childhood, how it’s transcended who he’s become as an adult and people dismissing it because of his music.
