GOOD NEWS: The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals has issued a stay of execution for Robert Roberson, III. He is still on death row, but at least Texas can't execute him on Thursday. 

In January 2002, 2-year-old Nikki Curtis died from chronic double pneumonia and septic shock, which doctors had been treating. But as she clung to life, some doctors and nurses began to wonder…what if her father had actually shaken her? A doctor diagnosed Nikki with Shaken Baby Syndrome, which is now considered junk science. Still, the state of Texas plans to execute Nikki’s father, Robert Roberson, III on October 16, 2025.
