Guys, they really tried. They really, really did. Astros versus Red Sox, one baseball fan and one decidedly non-baseball fan gave it their all, and they learned a thing we'd kind of always assumed: baseball is a LOT of dead time.
Does the conversation descend into a cantankerous discussion of why lefties can't beat the shift and a healthy does of Rob's Lando Calrissian impression? Yes it does. And this is in the middle of a one-run playoff game. We shudder to imagine what might go down between these two during a 9-2 laugher in the middle of July.
In short, please hire these two men to be your local team's play-by-play guys. Let's make baseball super weird.
