Ep.99 – Mega Visions Show #99: Look, It's Been a Crazy Week
Description
Episode Notes
Welcome back to this week's episode! We're joined this week by Mega Visions staff writer Alicia Graves onto the show for the first time.
She’s here to discuss the Activision-Blizzard lawsuit coverage that has been ongoing previous to Microsoft agreeing to purchase the company for nearly $70 billion.
Glutton, Tracey Cullinan’s lost game
In addition to that, she has an amazing story about a young programmer named Tracey Cullinan, who, in the 1980s, developed a game on his Apple II called Glutton. Unfortunately, in 1986, Tracey passed away when he was only 18 years old and Glutton was never released. However, Tracey’s brother recently found his original floppy disk that contained Glutton’s source code and has sent it to professionals who are helping to restore it with the intention to release it to the public. You’ll definitely want to hear Alicia tell this story.
Windjammers 2 - the ultimate, dumb party game?
Alicia reviewed Windjammers 2 last week, and she tells us her experience jumping into the series and how it’s the ultimate, dumb party game. I have to agree with that and have been having so much fun jumping into Windjammers 2. I’ll admit, I’m an absolutely terrible Windjammers player, but I like they’ve added jumping and the slapshot mechanics. It keeps you on your toes because there are several different types of shots now that it’s hard to predict what your opponent is going to do.
