Dr Sabrya Carim is a trained scientist, with a PhD in Cell Biology. Sabrya has worked in lab-based research for 10 years across two continents, before transitioning into science publishing. She is now a science editor working at Nature Cell Biology, a high-profile journal that publishes scientific research. Sabrya is part of a minority of women from an ethnic minority group working in science. Sabrya is also a trained public speaker and has practised public speaking in many forms for the past 17 years. She is passionate about speaking to serve and firmly believes in the power of sharing one’s story to drive change. Sabrya is passionate about science and communication and advocates for women and girls in science.
