Episode 026: Bobbi Carpino | Photographer | Salmon Valley Campground | Following Your Passion
Description
For the past 10 years, Bobbi has photographed hundreds of Prince George families documenting special moments in their lives. She started off with a home-based business, opened a storefront studio in downtown Prince George and in November, moved her studio to a beautiful 23 acre riverfront property in Salmon Valley.
After graduating from Simon Fraser University, majoring in Criminology, Bobbi started her career as an Adult Probation Officer. Two years into her career, she experienced a traumatic experience while at work and as a result was diagnosed with PTSD. She eventually returned to work, however, the affects of the ongoing trauma had lasting affects. Shortly after the birth of her daughter, Bobbi started her photography business while still working part time as a Probation Officer. She knew that she could no longer keep doing the work she was doing and quit her career and took her photography business full time. Bobbi has loved being invited into the clients lives and capturing beautiful moments.
Bobbi is passionate about living a life of Joy and carries this in everything she does. She has created the Capturing Joy Project and teaches others how to connect to their joy and how to create stunning images with their camera phone. She believes in giving back to her community as a volunteer business mentor for women, a youth group leader in her church and a board member with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Prince George. She is excited about her family’s newest adventure as the newest owners of the Salmon Valley Campground and her new stunning outdoor photography studio.
