Aneet Brar was born and raised in Punjab province of India. She got married at a very young age and moved to Canada along with her husband in 2004. She was always passionate about beauty industry and enrolled herself for a professional make-up course in Artists Within school of make up in Calgary. Shorty upon graduation she moved to lower mainland in BC and started her career as a professional make up artist specialising in south Asian weddings. She was also actively involved in media and hosted a popular south Asian TV show aired weekly on national media. She was also blessed with 2 daughters born in 2006 and 2008.

Aneet always wanted to soar higher as an independent business owner and this desire was fueled further when she got a an opportunity to take an entrepreneur ship development program with SEEDS(Self employment & entrepreneur development society). This program not only taught her the necessary skills but also provided her with a mentor in the shape of Julie Johnson, who is a very inspiring and successful business woman in Vancouver. Aneet opened her own Spa in Surrey (Spa Moksha) in 2010. In search for better work/life balance she decided to move north and arrived in Prince George along with her family in 2013. Soon upon her arrival in PG she started Girlfriends Brow Bar as a home based business. Her attention to detail and her passion for perfection soon earned her a very loyal customer base. With a vision to empower women and better provide them with her unique and professional services she opened her first store front location in downtown PG. Girlfriends brow bar became the first professional brow bar with store front location in northern Canada dedicated to rich and enhance the beauty using the age old art of threading. She is really thankful to the people of PG who have welcomed and supported her so much that her team was soon short of space and recently had to move to a bigger location at 835 Victoria Street.
