In this episode, I tell for the first time in its entirety the brutal murder and tragic death of my beautiful coworker, Vanessa 'Vanna' Martinez. I dive deep into my own thoughts and feelings as I walk listeners through the day that truly shook me to my core and altered one Southern Californian family forever. As stated in the episode, it's my first time ever recording a podcast or creating a project of this magnitude. A lot of the information you're going to hear is first hand experience that took several months/years to gather- but for the all the bookworm's out there who need some references/resources and links, I'll post them at the bottom.
SIDE NOTE: Not long after this incident I sought help to battle the mental and emotional illnesses that followed. In the wake of our current state of world affairs, I strongly urge anyone who is battling with feelings of depression, anxiety or hopelessness to REACH OUT and seek the proper help. THERE IS HELP OUT THERE.
