S1 E10: Jenny Miller - Navigating Complex Trauma, Core Negative Beliefs, and Ways to Heal
In Episode 10 of the SheRecovery Podcast, Crystal chats with Jenny Miller.
Jenny is a pastoral counselor from the Baltimore area. She holds a Masters in Pastoral Counseling with an emphasis in Crisis & Trauma Counseling from Liberty University. In this interview, Jenny shares her own experience of navigating complex trauma. She gives advice for anyone who battles trauma, how to re-frame negative core beliefs, and what is required to heal. Jenny is an overcomer. From porn addiction, to surviving breast cancer, to a complex post-traumatic stress disorder diagnosis as the result of childhood trauma.
After completing her graduate-level internship at Safe Harbor Christian Counseling, she is currently employed full-time as their Program Director. Jenny also served as volunteer Program Director for SHERecovery from 2010-2019. In 2011, her personal story of freedom was featured in Crystal's book Dirty Girls Come Clean and in 2015, she was also a contributor in Crystal's 90 Days to Wholeness devotional. And in 2021, Jenny became an ordained minister through Freedom Church where she serves on the worship team.
