Episode 11 Restructuring PLCs To Better Reach ALL Students with Jill Angelucci
Description
In this episode, Jill Angelucci shares strategies for school improvement through Professional Learning Communities.
From Jill: "In a year of transition and change, we have found new energy though a refocused and restructured PLC process. This presentation will cover our new protocol, tips for collecting and analyzing data efficiently, and how to support teachers in this process. This process started at the high school level and is now being done at all levels across the district. We are excited to share our resources with you!"
About Jill Angelucci:
Jill is an assistant principal at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester, Kentucky. A cool fact about Jill - especially with PLCs being the topic at hand: She graduated from Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, IL, and Dr. DuFour was her superintendent when she was a student there. She spent 12 years as a math teacher; first in Chicago and then in Lexington. She became an instructional coach at GRC in 2017 and then moved into the role of Assistant Principal in 2019. In this presentation, Jill begins with a clip from Lexington principal and everyone's favorite comedian Gerry Brooks. She then dives in to the process used for PLCs at GRC and the protocol used to guide their work. (link to the protocol is below)
