Episode 113: There's No Time Like 'No Time!'
Update: 2021-04-06
Description
Hi-ho, A:R Nation!
Quick question: were you told you were a bad student because you were often daydreaming or zoned out?
Would it shock you if I shared that this kind of practice may be the key to getting unstuck and unlocking more of what we want in our lives?
Over the last few days, my newsfeed has been littered with articles about some of the great minds in entrepreneurship and otherwise, past and present - Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai - having a common daily practice that's NOT meditation.
Want to take a crack at what it is?
It was referred to as 'No Time' - a time and space where the mind is free to wander and do/be/go whatever and wherever it wants.
Unlike meditation, which is often intended to clear the mind, the purpose of No Time is to give your mind the freedom to just cycle through whatever it feels like.
If there are no thoughts, then let there be no thoughts.
If all you can think about it bacon, then let your mind play in thoughts of bacon.
The premise of No Time is that it gives your mind the space and freedom to create without limits - just like when you were a child daydreaming and zoning out.
She was lost in her thoughts, in exactly the right place and at exactly the right time. This is the Adulthood:Revisited Podcast.
