Episode 122 : Salesforce acquires Slack & other marketing news
49% of Podcast fans report that advertising remains the most effective way to reach them compared to 37% of listeners in 2019. Despite an increase in podcast Ads and their length, super-fans on Podcasts have recorded an average of 10.5 listening hours per week. This is according to a survey done by Results Media, Edison Research and Podcast One.
Facebook is facing over 40 Antitrust lawsuits as the FTC accused it of being a social media monopoly that uses its dominance to squash smaller competitors. The FTC and US regulators believe it was a mistake to approve of Facebook acquisition on Whatsapp and Instagram.
Salesforce, the popular CRM, has signed an agreement estimated around $27.7 billion to acquire Slack in the recent week. Is this a good move for both parties and what does this mean for some of us who were using the free version of Slack ?
