Episode 21 Leah Maurer from The Weed Blog
Description
Welcome back to another great episode of Oregon Buds! We have an action packed episode with Leah a co-owner of The Weed Blog. We catch up on what happened over the weekend with the buds. Running around PDX and dealing with gun toting scam artists. It was a wicked weekend for the buds. We also discuss the insane comments coming from Chad Larner, director of Macon County's K-9 Training Academy.
Leah is a canna-journalist and advocate who lives in Portland, Oregon. She was very involved in cannabis legalization there, helping found New Approach Oregon and starting a group called Moms for YES on Measure 91 during the legalization campaign in 2014. She is one of the owners of TheWeedBlog.com, where she serves as the Editorial Lead and manages Outreach for the company. Leah also does freelance outreach and marketing consulting for cannabis companies and organizations. In 2015, she helped launch Portland's Women Grow chapter and then lead it for over a year. At the core, though, Leah is a cannabis legalization activist and hopes to see the prohibition of cannabis end on a federal level, and to see the cannabis conversation normalized across America.
We have some great music from Patrick of the Pagan Jug Band based here in Portland. The song, She Bounce is a great spring time song that gets you up and moving around!
