It is rare that you have an episode where you feel that the person who committed the crime should not be punished. His mother was given several signs and even called authorities a couple times. I am not sure if I would have recognized the signs it done anything different, it is easy to analyze and criticize after the fact. However, let it be a warning, if your loved one says they do not recall how they traveled alarge distance or what they did for a large period of time, they are most likely experiencing a dissociative state, especially if you know they do not use drugs. Even if they are using drugs it would be time to call the local hospitals about admitting your loved one for evaluation of their mental health.
