Did you know you choose what you carry and for how long? What’s in your hands? Your heart? What are you longing to let go of? What do you need to release to be free of the weight of your past?

This is sticky in my mouth, yet I have to say it. It’s hard to swallow, this idea that I somehow participating in my own suffering. Introducing the option of agency can be challenging and can feel rude/dismissive/uncaring … and yet, I have returned to this grindstone with my own story again and again and have come to this same conclusion. So, here I am … sharing with you, truths that may be inconvenient and unpopular, but here none the less.

May you listen with a ton of compassion for the parts of your story that still feel unbearably hard, may you be met with tenderness and also openness to seeing if there is another way.
