There's no denying it — "Weird Al" Yankovic is more culturally relevant now than ever. He's not JUST a peerless parodist and national treasure, either. He's also a straight-up documentarian of several distinct eras of popular culture. And nowhere is this more apparent than in his polka medleys; accordion-heavy pastiches that draw from some of the most popular songs of their respective eras to create magical mosaics that are always greater than the sum of their parts. So in the wake of Al's sold-out Madison Square Garden engagement (and since it's been a full 100 episodes since he's been a subject), Saint and Jim are wrapping up the Trilogy of Triumph by breaking down these polka-piles into discrete components, and holding them up to the mirror of history to see how they stand up.
