Episode 28: The HSP guide to the holiday season – part 1: holiday seasons past…
Description
Welcome to the High Sensory People Podcast with Jane Elizabeth Aston and Elisha May!
We are High Sensory People, which means that like 20-30% of the world’s population, we were born with the genetic trait now referred to as High Sensory Intelligence®. The scientific name of the trait is Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS) but it’s commonly known right now as being highly sensitive. We are passionate about raising awareness about the HSP trait and reframing it from being highly sensitive to High Sensory.
In this week’s episode, and with Christmas 2023 and New Year just around the corner, we start off our three part series on the holiday season. We’ll be talking about holiday seasons past, present and future, including what Christmas and new Year used to look like for us before we knew about the HSP trait, and how things have changed since then.
In this episode we’ll be looking at how things used to be, and why it was often challenging for us. Next week we’ll start to look at how knowing about the high sensory trait helped us to manage our holiday season differently, so we could enjoy everything more.
The HIGH SENSORY TRIBE online community is now open!! It's free to join for the first month, and then just £10 (about $12) a month – click here. We would love to see you there!
