Description
Interoception is the sense of your internal body state. It is your ability to notice & interpret the signals coming from inside you - your heartbeat, breath, hunger, thirst, muscle tension, temperature, or even the "butterflies in your stomach" when you're nervous.
In other words, it's the felt sense of your inner world.
Why it matters:

Regulation: Strong interoceptive awareness helps with emotional regulation (you notice anxiety building before it spikes).

Embodiment: It deepens connection to your body, moving you out of just mental processing & into the somatic landscape that creates lasting change.

Intuition: It supports decision-making & inner knowing, since you're more attuned to subtle signals.

Healing: Trauma & stress often disrupt interoception (numbing, dissociation), so rebuilding it is core to somatic & psycho-spiritual work.
It's often called the "eighth sense" (beyond the usual five, plus proprioception & vestibular balance).
Interoception is like the gateway to embodied leadership - because if you can feel your body's signals, you can align your nervous system, intuition & energy with your Higher Self.
