Our Lone Star story of the day: As expected the Republican Party of Texas executive committee did not vote to ban anyone from the ballot in the big meeting this weekend. The committee did concur with local censure resolutions of five state legislators and did not do so for five others.
Also in a development for the RPT, Attorney General Ken Paxton has joined Texas Republicans, as A.G., in urging the court to allow the party to conducted closed primary elections. This leaves the Secretary of State to fight to keep legislator control of Texas GOP primary elections.
