The conflict between Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and the USDA over the New World Screwworm fight is mostly mischaracterized to make it appear that Miller is fighting the Trump Administration. That’s nonsense, Miller is clearly wanting to simply do more than USDA is willing to do to stop this situation that could decimate ranching and is pushing up beef prices for us all.
Snyder ISD abuse case certainly make it appear that Scurry Co. has a weak on crime district attorney. Even if that is not the case, nothing excuses the DA’s refusal to meet with local families in the matter.
