I explain why the excuse for a new $50 per year fee (tax) to have an alarm system is pro-crime, and has nothing whatsoever to do with addressing the problem of “false alarms” officials say is behind the nasty scheme. I had high hopes for the new police chief but respect has diminished greatly.
