In this episode, I share a recent Instagram post from Yarn Carnival, who had such a terrible experience at a show in the NW (“you’re from Texas where it’s super hot, so what do you know about knitting?”) that she’s been compelled to start a movement supporting the Texas fiber community. I also have two questions from the Ravelry podcast forum that I answer (about knitCompanion and about storing yarn in hanks vs. cakes). I share my knitting progress (including a new project) and a tiny bit of stashing. For dyeing, I talk about what a Quest colorway means and share some recent dye experiments, especially using a technique called overdyeing. And finally, I show the prize that will be given to one person who enters an FO in the Q4 KAL. (By the way, I finished the green shawl and was so happy to have it done that I completely forgot that I haven’t shown the finished shawl to you guys yet. Sorry! Will be sure to do that in the next epsiode.)
